ShootProof names Stephen Marshall as CEO
Atlanta’s ShootProof, a global leader in software, e-commerce, education, and productivity solutions for professional and semi-professional photographers, appointed Stephen Marshall as chief executive officer. Marshall brings more than two decades of proven executive leadership in high-growth technology and SaaS companies. Previously Marshall was a founding partner at Deep Fractal, an advisory firm, working with technology companies spanning digital marketing, healthcare, and direct to consumer brands. Marshall previously founded multiple companies including INVISION, a leading SaaS platform that managed $16B in advertising revenue. Marshall served as CEO of INVISION prior to its successful acquisition by Mediaocean in 2016. Effective immediately, Marshall assumes the day-to-day leadership of the company. ShootProof’s co-founder Colin Breece is staying with the company in the role of Chief Strategy Officer.
“ShootProof is the clear leader in online gallery software and productivity solutions for photographers, with differentiated product depth and breadth, tremendous organic growth and continued opportunities for M&A and partnerships,” said Marshall. “Colin’s vision and leadership have been incredible and I am thrilled to join a company that cares deeply about empowering photographers and helps them realize their goals.”
“Providence Strategic Growth invested in ShootProof not only because of its robust growth and strong technology but also because of Colin’s vision, values, and commitment to customer success,” said Ben Kaplan, senior advisor at PSG and Executive Chairman of ShootProof at PSG. “Colin and the PSG team are excited to bring Steve on board. Steve’s successful experience running SaaS companies, his proven and positive leadership, and warm personality all make him a perfect fit as ShootProof continues to scale.”
Founded in 2010, ShootProof serves tens of thousands of photographers in 38 countries, offering 18 different languages for galleries. ShootProof powered photographers have earned over $335 million in commission-free sales.
